Kakani to Helipad Mountain Biking
Taking one of the less-traveled bike paths around the Kathmandu Valley is a big day. When you ride your mountain bike on the Scar Route in Shivapuri National Park, you'll get a real feel for the Nepalese countryside. This remote route has a fair amount of climbing followed by thrilling descents. Along the way, there are many parts that take you through dense forest to beautiful waterfalls.
This trail is great for a ride that lasts all day. This trail is hard because you will be going up and down the whole time. So, it's great for a weekend ride that will get your heart pumping. The Kakani to Helipad trail takes you through Kakani and the forests around it to Shivapuri National Park. From there, you can get to the Helipad. Start your trip at Balaju Chowk. From there, head toward Trishuli Highway. From Trishuli Highway, you will make your way to Kakani. If you ride through Kakani, you'll end up at Shivapuri National Park. Once you're in the park, the forest trail goes on. This trail goes downhill more than it goes up, so it will be a fun and relaxing ride as you go through trees and sometimes see amazing views of the Himalayas.

I cannot recommend enough Cycling in Nepal team. Everything was planned out smoothly and there’s nothing I could complain about. Anyone planning a day cycling tour in Kathmandu; should definitely hit them up!

The bike tour was absolutely the best way to see the Kakani hill station and surroundings. We were promptly picked up at our hotel for our full-day tour of Kakani hill station. The bikes provided are higher-end Specialized Mountain bikes, which were great. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
