Nagarkot Enduro Mountain Biking
You'll feel like a king when you climb the ridges of Nagarkot hill, which have steep drops and sharp turns. Enjoy the different trails that Nagarkot has to offer, from tiring climbs to wild descents, and take in the beautiful scenery of quiet villages, terraced farmlands, and dense forests.
Nagarkot is a small town on the northern edge of Kathmandu Valley that is known for its amazing views of several Himalayan peaks. Nagarkot is also a hill station where many people go to relax, enjoy nature, and make the most of the outdoors. It is also a great place for mountain biking.
When you get to Nagarkot View Tower, get off your bike, put on your gear, and start going east downhill on the paved road. After going about 100 meters, you'll turn right to leave the main road. In the first part of the trail, there are tricky downhills with big drops, and you'll be walking on a single-track path that goes through a dense forest. When you first go southwest and then back north, you'll lose more height than you gain. Find the rough parts of the trail as you go back up to the View Tower.
After you get to the View Tower, drink a lot of water and eat something to give your body a boost. The second and last part of the trail comes next. From the View Tower, go west and turn left at the first intersection to get to the Geodetic Observatory. As soon as you leave the observatory, you'll head southwest again to ride the winding single-tracks. The first 2 km of the trail are a series of switchbacks that go downhill through a thick forest. You'll lose a huge 400 meters while only gaining about 100 meters. The trail that comes next isn't as difficult as the one you just finished. Instead, it has a mix of gradual downhills and uphills, with one big drop at the end. In this part of the trail, you lose about 200 m and gain about 150 m.
When you get to the paved road, you'll know you've reached the end of the trail. Ask the car that will pick you up to wait just before the turn to the Chautara Bus Stop. Load up your cars and enjoy your time on the trails as you drive back to Kathmandu along a beautiful route.
