Shivapuri Mountain Biking

This trail is great for people who are just starting out because it has wide paths and is easy to find. Even though most of the trail goes up, it doesn't go up too fast, so it's great for a slow, all-day ride. Budhanilkantha is where the trail begins. Once you reach the gate, head southeast on a gravel road that goes through Shivapuri heights and all the way to Helipad. From here, you can either go back or, if you're ready for some technical drops, keep going toward the descent ahead. This is a steep drop, so only riders who have done it before should try it. This is also where the famous Widow Maker is. This is a section of the trail that goes downhill very steeply and has a lot of tricky parts. Along this trail, you can see a lot of beautiful, panoramic views of the city. Parts of this trail also serve as roads, so keep an eye out for jeeps and other large vehicles as you ride.
